Reading in the Park
Reading in the Park was created through the partnership of HoneyInk™, The WOW Flower Project, and NJ Luke Publishing, LLC our mission is to improve literacy and a love of reading at all ages in the Antelope Valley Community.
Concerned Black Men of Los Angeles-Antelope Valley Chapter
Concerned Black Men of Los Angeles-Antelope Valley Chapter is dedicated to reducing gang violence through mentorship and programming. They focus on affirming young Black men to foster self-discipline. CBMLA has provided youth and adult services to African-American communities throughout the Los Angeles County area. Michelle assisted in teaching the Welcome to Womanhood program which served to mentor middle school-aged girls to empower them and affirm their self-worth.
City of Palmdale-Palmdale City Library
Hosted Author Series workshops at Palmdale City Library in partnership with The Black Chamber of Commerce to encourage and educate young children they can be their own authors. Provided tools and resources on how to develop a story and encourage creative writing.
